It amazes me that in today’s society, people in my generation still think that it’s horrific for two men or two women to get married.
It’s 2012 for fucks sake. You’re really going to tell people you know, are friends with, work with, etc…that they are not allowed to get married and have a normal life just because a stupid book written 2000 years ago says no? Think about it: what would happen if two men got married? Two women? What is so dangerous about that? Chances are that their relationships would probably last longer than most heterosexual couples these days. One of my best friends is a girl. And she’s dating a girl. And I hope that if they decide to get married one day, they can choose any state in the country to have their wedding. We’re supped to be the country that represents bravery, freedom, equality, etc… Unfortunately, regarding loving relationships between a homosexual couple, so many people are afraid of the topic, the don’t allow them to get married, therefore taking away their freedom and equality. I’m just so tired of hearing every damn day that there are states having debates about whether or not it’s okay for homosexual couples to get married or not. I mean, really guys. What’s the worst that could happen if homosexual couples got married in your state?
